J.J. Abrams and Disney have been hard at work to make sure that they can film the latest Star Wars movie by the beginning of next year. But, in order to film the movie, you need actors. And, if these rumors are to be believed, they may have two big ones in mind.
The Latino Review has been reporting that Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron have been eyed for roles in the upcoming Star Wars movie. Gosling apparently is up for the role of Luke Skywalker’s son, but Efron’s role is unknown to LR. They also report that the studio has been meeting with Leonardo DiCaprio, but he is no longer involved with the project.
Expect some official announcements to be made pretty soon. There’s a good chance that there will be some announcement made at this weekend’s Star Wars celebration in Germany. It seems odd that Disney would want to go with some bigger names when they know that the name Star Wars itself can sell the product, but, hey, we’ll see.
