Hey, did you guys know that they are making a Clifford the Big Red Dog movie?
Me neither. But apparently that’s happening, and they have just found their director. David Bowers, who directed such films as Flushed Away and the last two Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies, has just signed on to direct the project.
The Wrap reveals that the movie will be a live-action/animation hybrid, similar to the Scooby-Doo movies that came out about a decade ago (feel old?). But the project will not be without some changes.
In addition to this news, it has also been noted that Illumination Entertainment and producer Chris Meledandri have left the film. Universal Pictures is still attached to the project, however, and will be releasing the film, which will have a script by Matt Lopez (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice).
There is no official start date or release time yet, but it is predicted that the film will be heading to theaters around 2015.
