Marvel Developing an ‘Agent Carter’ TV Series

By Will Ashton

Marvel seems to have a lot of confidence in their new short Agent Carter, which is set to premiere on the Iron Man 3 Blu-Ray, as the company has just announced that they are developing a series based on the character.

In a report, it was revealed that the character, who is a 1940s British operative who joins S.H.I.E.L.D. after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger,  has a show that is being developed.

Currently, the show is looking to lock a writer, and it is unclear whether Hayley Atwell will reprise her role.

Louis D’Esposito, the director of Agent Carter, told Collider not too long ago that, “There are going to be more Peggy Carter stories that we need to tell… What we’ll do and how we’ll do it has not been determined yet, but those discussions have started.” I guess those discussions were real.

Marvel has not confirmed this news, or guarantee that the show will end up happening.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to premiere on Tuesday, so we’ll have to see if it is successful enough to gain additional shows (it probably will).
