Those of you who got super excited for the spinoff movie, Minions, after watching Despicable Me 2 (which should pretty much be everyone who saw Despicable Me 2) will have to wait another year to see their favorite little yellow friends, as the movie has been pushed back from December 19, 2014 to July 10, 2015.

The Hollywood Reporter found out about the seven month delay. Additionally, they found out that another untitled Illumination project that was set to come out July 3, 2015 is also being pushed to February 12, 2016.

This new release date falls in line with the release of Despicable Me 2 this summer, which ended up being very profitable for the sequel. As of now, it’s Universal Studios most profitable movie ever.

Directed by Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin, Minions will follow the creatures in the 1960s, before they ever met Gru.
