Everyone’s favorite Game of Thrones star is heading back to the big screen, and his return sounds pretty promising.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Peter Dinklage has signed on to star in an untitled R-rated comedy for Paramount. It is being pitched as Bad Santa with a pretend leprechaun instead of a raunchy department store Santa. The film is being penned by Andrew Dodge, who wrote Jason Bateman’s directorial debut Bad Words, which just premiered at TIFF.
Producing will be Mary Parent and Cale Boyter through their company Disruption Entertainment. No director or other actors have been added at this time.
Much like the aforementioned Bad Santa, The Hollywood Reporter reports that the film will be “deep in R-rated territory but wrapped around an emotional heart.” The movie will center on a man who tells people he is a true leprechaun.
Dinklage will next be seen next summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. He’ll also be featured in The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, Low Down and the next season of Game of Thrones.
