‘The Cabin in the Woods’ Drew Goddard to Write ‘Daredevil’ For Marvel/Netflix

By Will Ashton

Well, it appears that things are about to start moving on the Marvel/Netflix’s Daredevil show, as they have just hired Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods) to write the series.

The Wrap first reported the news. While he also wrote Cloverfield, since co-writing and directing The Cabin in the Woods, Goddard’s presence has been growing in Hollywood. He helped rewrite World War Z and wrote Robopocalypse for Steven Spielberg. It doesn’t hurt that he has a good connection to Joss Whedon, though.

Goddard previously spoke to Collider about his love of Daredevil when he said:

“You’re talking to a guy who had quotes from Daredevil painted on his wall while growing up. Even when I was 18, I still had the blood red door with the, ‘I have shown him that a man without hope is a man without fear.’ That was what I loved and so it’s the sort of thing that if we can find the right project, I would love to do it.”

So it would seem like this is a good choice. Hopefully they produce a good show in 2015.
