Among the better sketch comedy shows on TV right now is Key & Peele on Comedy Central. Like any sketch comedy show, not every skit works, but the duo’s infectious chemistry along with their constant dedication to their bits and their unexpected cleverness gives the show a constantly engaging energy and a series of laughs along the way.

Despite working together since early 2000s with MADtv, their show has grown their presence in the past couple years, and it appears that one big comedy presence has taken notice.

Deadline reports that Judd Apatow will be producing an untitled feature comedy film that Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Apatow will write together. Key and Peele will star in the film as well as serve as executive producers.

No plot details have been released yet about the film, but Apatow has said the following about the comedic actors:

“I love these guys because they are riotously, make you sick because you can’t stop laughing, funny. I think Key and Peele are capable of making the movie that America desperately needs right now.”

Apatow recently produced Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which will be released on December 20. Key & Peele has recently been picked up for a fourth season on Comedy Central.
