Paul Walker, the actor best known for his work in the Fast & Furious series, has unexpectedly died this afternoon in a car crash in Valencia, north of Los Angeles. He was 40 years old.
According to Variety, Walker was in a Porche that spun out of control and crashed, killing the actor in a fiery explosion. The actor’s death was confirmed by his representation.
Walker was considered a great person among a number of filmmakers and actors, many of which complemented him for his kind personality, his dedication to his work and his generosity as a friend. I can’t only speak for myself when I say that I find this news very shocking and unexpected, and I wish his friends and family the best through this hard time. Walker was currently working on the latest Fast & Furious film. How his death will affect the film remains uncertain.
Walker was last seen in Fast & Furious 6, Pawn Shop Chronicles and Hours earlier this year, and will later be seen in Brick Mansions and Fast & Furious 7 next year.
