Audience members won’t be seeing the new Captain America: The Winter Solider until April 4, but it appears Marvel is already pleased with what directors Joe and Anthony Russo put together. Variety reveals the sibling duo will return to direct Captain America 3.
In addition to calling the shots, the brothers will also work on the story this time around. Formal negotiations between the studio and the directors won’t begin until the second movie is released, however. It appears Marvel is already pleased with the film, though, and it is testing well enough. Hence, the directors’ were asked back.
While no official release date has been announced, the studio already scheduled three as-yet-untitled dates between 2016 and 2017, so it is possible Captain America 3 will be taking one of those spots.
